What is a MicroPlasma Peel?

The MicroPlasma Peel is delivered by our Pixel RF device, which creates multiple controlled micro perforations with small zones of skin ablation. This triggers the body’s natural healing response for improved complexion with very little downtime.

This treatment delivers highly effective skin resurfacing for all skin types. It is easier than ever to reclaim fresh, smooth and radiant skin. Similar to the pattern created by fractional skin resurfacing systems, the MicroPlasma Peel treatment creates multiple controlled, micro-perforations within small zones of thermal injury.

During this treatment, just a small portion of the skin tissue in the treatment area is ablated. The remaining tissue supplies the healing that leads to the elimination of irregular epidermal pigmentation, tightening of dermal collagen and the smoothing that results from the generation of new collagen. The MicroPlasma technology ablates and heats the skin through a controlled, focused delivery of energy. The healthy skin in the treated area is then able to encourage the natural healing process for faster recovery and less downtime. Unlike dermal rollers or low power bipolar radio frequency applications that superficially ablate and heat the skin, the MicroPlasma Peel is designed for targeted improvement below the epidermis of the skin. Treating these dermal layers can create more comprehensive rejuvenation. It works by gradually heating the dermal and sub-dermal tissue to smooth, tighten and re-contour.

Recovery And Results

Because the MicroPlasma Peel does not remove the outer skin layer, you can expect a certain amount of swelling, which should resolve within 2 days or so. Expect the skin to have a pinkish tone for about 4 to 5 days.

The time in between treatments varies from one patient to another, depending on individual healing and the depth of the treatment. After each MicroPlasma Peel treatment, our patients can enjoy a smoother, clearer, more youthful appearance. Immediate tightening of the skin can be seen. Studies have shown that new collagen regeneration can continue up to 6 months after your treatments are complete.
